Jayne Lovell - Senior Associate

Jayne joined MFY in 2002 after moving from Perth, Western Australia. She was appointed Senior Associate in 2011. Jayne has considerable expertise in traffic data analysis and has provided traffic engineering advice on numerous major projects, relating to geometric road design, car park design and management, intersection analysis and traffic impact studies.

Jayne is responsible for overseeing the management of procedures and projects with MFY. With over 400 projects each year, this role is key to the success of project delivery.

Jayne has significant experience in road design and documentation. Prior to joining MFY, Jayne was employed as a Project Engineer with a small civil and traffic engineering consultancy, David Porter Consulting Engineer. This provided a solid background for the numerous subdivision access and intersection designs for which Jayne has played a key role.

Since joining MFY, Jayne has provided advice on a diverse range of projects, from multi-storey car park design to school master plans to major shopping centre redevelopments to large land divisions. Jayne is conversant with the SIDRA and ODAPA computer analysis programs and has completed numerous models of intersection upgrade requirements.

Chris Harcourt - Associate

Chris became an Associate of MFY in January 2003. He is responsible for CAD drafting (AutoCAD), traffic simulation modelling (Aimsun) and undertaking car park audits. Chris is responsible for the drafting team at MFY.

Chris first commenced employment with MFY in 1996. He has significant experience in CAD drafting (AutoCAD), vehicle path modelling (AutoTurn) and in the analysis of traffic data. Chris has experience in traffic simulation modelling (Aimsun) and provides expert advice to clients in respect to car park management, performance, operation and auditing.

Chris has been responsible for CAD drafting on several significant projects, working closely with the design team. These projects include Qantas Sydney Domestic Terminal, Westfield Marion, Kilkenny and Tea Tree Plaza Shopping towns, Brisbane Airport Long-Term and Short-Term Car Parks, Hollywood Plaza Shopping Centre, Harbour Town Development, Adelaide Airport Combined Terminal (various), Mount Barker Shopping Centre and Norwood Plaza Shopping Centre development.

Since 1996, Chris has been undertaking car park auditing and operational reviews of car parks for owners, property managers and car park operators alike. The City of Melbourne and Victoria University are two significant clients to whom he has provided management, operational and auditing advice.

Chris has broad experience and expertise in CAD drafting and traffic engineering. He is well respected in the car parking industry for his significant experience in all aspects of car park management, operation and auditing.

Suresh Vijayakumar

Suresh joined MFY Pty Ltd in March 2016 after graduating with Honours (First Class) in Bachelor of Civil and Infrastructure at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).

Under the guidance of senior engineers, Suresh undertakes projects in a broad range of traffic and transportation engineering fields, including intersection analysis, road design, car park design, traffic impact statements, development plan amendments and sight distance assessments

Beth Hinton

Beth joined MFY in March 2013 as a Technical Officer. She has significant experience in CAD drafting and design, and has an excellent understanding of the AutoCAD drafting and design tools. She also is proficient in the preparation of plans using Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) drafting requirements.

Prior to joining MFY, Beth worked as a Technical Officer in the Civil field where she worked on a number of Water and Infrastructure Services projects and assisted in drafting for different fields including Mining, Buildings and Transport.

Beth has been responsible for CAD drafting on several significant projects, working closely with the design team. These projects include Southern Expressway Duplication.

Our Team

The team at MFY offers specialist expertise in traffic planning and design and can provide advice for your next development application, road design project or as an expert witness in court.  The significant depth in expertise and experience which the MFY team offers ensures that a best practice approach to each project is delivered.  The diversity of skills within the MFY personnel will result in the most appropriate engineer being allocated to individual projects based on specific expertise but also that there is always someone available to service the particular requirements of clients.  The team also offers expertise in CAD drafting for traffic projects and traffic modelling, with many staff trained in both aspects of this specialist field.  The recently expanded MFY team has further enhanced the skills and expertise that MFY can provide.

Murray Young - Consultant

Murray Young - Consultant

Murray has substantially retired and spends most of his time enjoying life. However, he still provides expert advice on a number of projects each year as a consultant to the firm, particularly in his niche expertise of car park operation and management.

Murray is the founder of the firm and now provides specialist advice on an individual project basis.

He has specialist expertise in car park equipment evaluation and has prepared audits, specifications and tenders for numerous systems. He has provided advice to the City of Melbourne and Victoria University, Stockland, Brisbane Airport and numerous other major developers.
